61 all settings deaths. Down 2 on last week.

40,004 cases - Up from 36, 517 last week.

Full details on the data thread.
Cases creeping up but not massively so just yet. Our trend certainly seems less worrying than what's going on in a lot of European countries but the next few weeks could be crucial with more people spending time indoors, etc.

I agree with this. But I also think they need to give businesses the freedom to decide their own clientele - so if a pub wants to admit vaccinated people only, they should be allowed to do that without legal recourse from the anti-vax mob.

That is obviously based on the assumption that being vaccinated reduces transmission. If the science proves that false then I'll concede that it's a pointless exercise.
I’ve known plenty of clubs and bars who have chosen their own clientele for years.

Some clubs and bars have a certain look they want and will refuse you entry if you don’t look or dress how the owners/promoters want their crowds looking. There are clubs where you can even pre-buy tickets for the event that’s on and you can still be refused entry on the door.

The old saying “if your name’s not down you’re not coming in”, yet the club haven’t even got a guest list only policy, the bouncers have simply been instructed not to let you in dressed like you are.

“No trainers tonight” when you see people with trainers on inside… you are probably just too ugly to get in.

I don’t see what the difference is if some places only want vaccinated people through their doors.

Anyone know what ages are people being routinely invited for booster jabs please. I got pushed up the queue for my first 2 jabs because of the volunteering I was doing but I haven’t heard from my GPS about the booster.

Out of interest- if you refuse the booster jab but have had the 2 previous- will you be classed as unvaccinated ?

Daughter out of isolation today, was actually ill with symptoms for less than 48 hours. The adults who caught it around her, all vaccinated are struggling. Absolutely crazy how it effects some and not others. Anyways onwards and upwards. Just glad she's okay. Really scary the first couple of days, really brought it home how quickly it can grab hold of you.

I'm in my 40's and it was just a 48 hr thing for me. Apart from the sense of smell - that was gone for a week or so, and still not 100% after nearly 3 months.

My sis in law is 13 months in without smell or taste.. she can only just smell / taste the strongest scents/tastes.

Anyone over 40 can get one from today. I wouldn't wait for your Gp, go online at the gov UK website and book an appointment or go to a walk in centre doing them
