You're not wrong. First and second jabs on the same day, already push that figure over 900k !Tremendous figures. A million a day within reach
I thought we'd struggle to get anywhere near a million a day but to get to this level so quickly is amazing. I reckon by mid January everyone who is eligible and wants one will have been jabbed.Above 861,000 whacked today. On a school day too.
Yesterday. My mistake.
The Government has become fixated on case numbers (scary as they are) instead of the infection fatality and hospitalisation rates. It is clear that the vast majority of people suffer relatively minor illness (that was also the case with Alpha and Delta variants). But the isolation rules being brought in will increase the existing staff crisis in the NHS.Absolutely my experience too and I’m a sample of 5 people I know infected.
By the time Johnson has decided which restrictions he wants to introduce, Omicron will have passed through.I take it once we've boosted all over 18s who take up the jab the restrictions will be lifted? Is that the plan..
Stick with me, mate. Everything I post is beer reviewed.I thought we'd struggle to get anywhere near a million a day but to get to this level so quickly is amazing. I reckon by mid January everyone who is eligible and wants one will have been jabbed.
This is a good point. The rate of transmission is so high at present that it will be through the whole country in a few weeks at which point the population who are not seriously affected will have huge immunity from jabs and getting Covid. They must have modelling which shows the precise impact on hospital beds. Why are they not sharing this?By the time Johnson has decided which restrictions he wants to introduce, Omicron will have passed through.
It’s because the case numbers are the best indication of the number of hospitalisation we will be facing in 2-3 weeks. The Government has become fixated on case numbers (scary as they are) instead of the infection fatality and hospitalisation rates.
