It’s absolutely mind boggling that they aren’t modelling using data from SA.
I’m genuinely getting the feeling that SAGE are just recommending harsh measures all the time because they fucked up so badly on the first wave in advising locking down too late.
I’ve been largely on board with all the measure in England (I think they were too slow to unlock though tbh) and got my vac the moment it was available.
However if they lockdown or circuit breaker now with 90% of over 50’s triple vaccinated by the end of the week I won’t be paying a blind bit of notice.
