My sentiments exactly.
Sorry you're down with it, by the way and I wish you and yours well.
Anyone who listened to the SA health officials would know that the symptoms of Omicron were proving to be significantly milder. These were the people on the front line who had dealt with Delta and were dealing with Omicron so they knew what they were talking about. They actually sounded quite bemused at our response as we seemed to ignore their real life experience and go with the ridiculous modelling. Looks like their advice is proving to be sound. Fingers crossed everyone.
Don't let uncle Chris hear you say that because it's only his news we should listen to, apparently.

Good to hear! I’m still breathless almost 9 weeks on from testing positive. My illness wasn’t too bad, like a bad virus really for 4/5 days but this breathlessness is a bit of a concern. Walking the dog in this misty air earlier had me gasping when I got back in.
It took me 4 months to recover to something like normal first time round so don't get to disheartened.

My PCR was positive

they asked when symptoms started - I haven’t really had any , maybe headache/ache a bit start of last week? So I put that date down

I presumed from positive my 10 days isolation would start, turns out I’m allowed out and about on Wednesday

Whole thing doesn’t feel right.

Best doing LFT and when you get 2 days negative go from that.

That is the bit that is crazy. They just basically take your word for it. You could have said 9 days ago and you would be out tomorrow. It’s nuts.

It's from the date of symptom starting. I could've clawed a few days back if I'd thought it through and nicked another by playing the Eddie Howe card.

So cases are clearly not doubling every 2 days like we were told? based on the last fours days numbers.
Either that or the virus is so mild people are not getting tested so they dont have to isolate. Either way its good news. We were also told by the experts they couldn't take the evidence from RSA as it wasn't reliable and wouldnt relate to the UK, but although early days it appears that it is reliable.

That’s the trick question, “when did the symptoms start”.
