Admissions are always 48 hours behind the rest of the hospital data. Todays data is from Monday when London rose by 153 extra patients atop those discharged from that days 301 admissions.

Positive or not and if not why?

Agree with all of that, I think. Boosters were having a very measurable positive pre omicron and I think its pretty clear that is what was behind falling deaths and hospitalizations. Still too early to say anything definitive post omicron, but early data seems to suggest less bad than delta, impossible to say by how much yet, I think.

The first few weeks of omicron uk data showed the potential for a real catastrophe (either lockdown, health care, or both).
