Pic quality bit poor , but this is where I worked on my first job today , no distancing going on ,no screens, no sanitizer about , I had no temp check or forms to fill out this place had about 6 of them tables in the warehouse

Then job after that to a care home, its a right worry this happens told the care home I should be tested but totally goes on deaf ears , my boss just sends us these places

I just think up and down the country this happening

GM Scoreboard:

1243 - up from 1203, 34.7% of North West Total which fell by 60 to 3588. 1.8 % rise on yesterday,

3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v Today:- 2286 v 1863 v 1554 v 1243. Still looking like a promising fall.

Pop Score is cases across whole pandemic v 100,000 people - rises daily but lower the better.

Weekly Pop is same measure across last 7 days only. Can rise or fall depending on if more cases or less occur today v the same day last week.

Either way Up is bad, down is good.

Manchester 282 – up from 270. Total 45, 216. Weekly 1787. Pop score up 51 to 8179. Weekly Pop down 12 to 324.

Bolton 124 - down from 159. Total cases 21, 373. Weekly 811. Pop score up 43 to 7433. Weekly Pop down 12 to 282.

Trafford 94- up from 71. Total cases 14, 189. Weekly 595. Pop score up 40 to 5978. Gains 1 on Stockport's overall pop score lead cutting it to 126. But set for the 6000 club tomorrow. Weekly Pop down 11 to 251. Trafford's good few few days has seen it take back the lowest weekly Pop score in GM it held for so long up to the new variant arriving.

Bury 78- down from 85. Total cases 14, 687. Weekly 513. Well clear now as lowest weekly total. Pop score up 41 to 7690. Weekly Pop down 17 to 269.

Another day of mostly falling week to week numbers and so reducing Weekly Pop scores which in a situation like the UK right now is the most important thing as it means numbers are going in the right direction.

Mrs B & I are in the same group as you, she was told today that we are in the next group to be called.
That's good to know - although it will be different wherever you live as area by area they have different demographics of population and so will move at different speed.

It should be in the middle part of February all being well.

But if priorities change as they might - for instance to accommodate teachers so the schools can return in early March - then that is OK by me.

We are in York, checked out an app last week indicated likely time would be between 22/2 and 7/3

Do we know if the UK has sufficient supplies or access to pfizer vaccine to administer 2nd jabs to those who have already had 1st ones if the EU restrict flow of vaccines out of EU states?

Thanks for your response Len,

Yes so that's the question, what is the definition of efficacy.

The way i see it is if no one ends up in hospital then that is remarkably good and this must mean your chances of dying from it once you have had the vaccine is virtually zero?
I was listening to a Professor on the news tonight talking about the J and J vaccine.
Basically he said that whilst the various vaccines had different efficacy rates as regards cases they were ALL were very effective in preventing serious illness and death.
This is great news given that questions have been raised about the AZ vaccine.
I wish the media would on occasions present the information this clearly.

All getting a bit messy now with the Eu.
It's what they are like, and what leavers have been saying for years about the unaccountable dictatorial beurocracy that is the EU. Once again for all their talk of peace and the GFA it is Brussels that are prepared to inflame tensions over the Irish border. They are just attempting to bully and coerce, pure and simple.

The bbc have misreported the new novavax one. They’ve made out that it is effective against the new Kent strain to the extent the others aren’t.
In fact they’ve said they think it is effective against the Kent one but that doesn’t mean the others aren’t.

I thought that as well, but they misreport lots of stuff to make things sound more sensationalist.

I'm sorry but years of being lied to have left me jaded. Can anyone provide a link to a reasonable set of facts and viewpoints re EU and UK vaccine supply? My only uninformed view is that some contracts were signed and that perhaps there was no legal stipulation for timeline of delivery, but it seems some bitter shit is being lobbed about

Porkies are flying.

Its just a shame no one seems to be talking about ramping up production. Surely it is within our (UK, EU, humanities) wit to very quickly replicate vaccine production facilities on a huge scale all over the world? Similar to the old proverb rather than give a man a fish (vaccine), teach him how to fish (make vaccine). I'm sure it isn't easy, but if you look at what was done to almost instantly ramp up ventilator production last year I'm sure it's possible.

It annoys me, this is the last fucking thing we need

I mean Christ, this little bubble of exceptionalism hardly needed to be inflated did it!!! These undertones grate on me, I just want everyone to be safe and getting on with their lives. Divided we fall.
