They have every right to be in their primary residence, they’d still be in the same lockdown as everyone else and just as bored as the rest of us, just in the company of some friends of their own age. Don’t see what the big problem is with that.

We're in lockdown and we're not allowed to mix. So if you're where you don't want to be then tough unfortunately. We have to get through this and in such a way that we can live with the virus and not have these restrictions. We've all had to make shit choices and not see people we'd rather be with and living with your family rather than friends may be boring and an inconvenience but it's a privilege compared to those homeless or living on their own or living in student areas with them breaking the rules and mixing when they shouldn't be. If they are to be trusted not to break rules then they can stick to these until we're able to open up for everyone, for good.

Thousands of people are dying that’s why the Government put the country into lockdown, we all know students are a bunch of assholes who just want to piss it up and party why should Tax payers have too play by the rules but Tax Dodging Students think they can do what they like
Strange hatred for students , are you paul calf ?

That’s a fair enough response, and I’d simply counter that maybe then whilst the government is spunking money all over the place they should help the students out. My son, for example, is paying full rent for a house in Nottingham and full Uni fees for practically fuck all tuition, hardly fair on them is it?

Perhaps for the latter point, but I fear more will return for the former point. Heard one girl interviewed the other day saying she wanted to leave her family home, went back for Christmas, and drive to her rented accommodation to be with her three housemates. No practicals, simply paying for the room and having mental health issues living at home.
I agree mate. There was a huge snowball fight in the student area near a couple of days ago. It was featured on the news.

I think there was also some school kids involved and having fun in the snow was too hard to resist. I would have probably done the same in my youth.

I agree with that. Student loans should be turned into grant payments for at least this term and a separate grant for accommodation for this term (private or halls)

Hospitals in Manchester are now operating at 175% capacity and utilising children's wards to cope with demand, staff have been warned to expect the peak towards the end of the month.

Many still wankers are not taking this seriously, sad as fuck.

I can sympathise with them, indeed empathise, because it’s not as if anyone is currently enjoying life to the full, but even a cursory glance of the news should be enough to alarm everyone. All of our actions can now have unintentional consequences, often dire, whereas our inactions can save lives.
