It seems a bit worrying that a 95 year old only got it today, my dad at 82 has had both does, and mum at 79 has had her first, so why has a 95 year old only just got it ?

The "deployment" seems almost completely random.
yeah, I think certain areas are ahead of others. My friend (same age) who's a dentist got theirs last weekend but lives in the North East so it just seems it's dependent on region.

Thank you Healdplace. Hopefully, we are turning the corner and light is finally appearing at the end of this wretched tunnel!

Keep up the great work.

Would like to think I have a resilience after a difficult few years but this latest lockdown has really impacted me hard.

I'm fortunate in that I'm well, but I'm seeing the aspects covid has had in a mental capacity on the people around me and its becoming increasingly hard to deal with. A family member has become very mentally unwell due to the lockdown and lack of social aspects and that in itself hurts. Added to that I've hardly seen family/people I care about for a while and it's becoming somewhat overwhelming. I'm well aware I'm not the first or last to feel this way, but I'm just feeling a bit down and would appreciate any tips/advice to feel better about myself.

One thing the last year has taught me is the importance of having people around you.

GM Weekly Pop Scores in past 7 days.

Pop Score measures cases per 100,000 population. Lowest is best, going down is good. Highest and going up bad.

It can compare anywhere with anywhere equally and these are the best guide to who is doing well or badly.THe government use it to make decisions on tiers and restrictions.

Those thinking I was over reacting at Stockport's plight I think that reveals why the government will be watching this carefully and the BBC will likely start reporting it next week as they are usually working a few days behind.

I hope it turns out I am over reacting and it starts to fall as right now it is holding GM back almost on its own.

Stay safe Sean. Let's hope we can all look back this time next year with a beer with family and friends.

I guess “working” is a subjective term in this context.
Over 85% within 3 days was the target. They're been finally hitting that since early Dec. Yeah they only have to contact one person in a house but hey thats all that is needed in reality.

Everyone in the UK over 18 to be vaccinated by June according to tonight's papers - that will take some doing. 5m a week to be vaccinated a week by March.
New vaccine manufactory in Oxford will be able to roll out 5m vaccines a week.
With the expected mutations, overseas travel will be restricted for a few years I think.

Small shoots, an overall small pop score reduction over GM as a whole, shame about Stockport.

I think this time around is much harder than the first time. The news flow is not good, the weather is not good and so people are struggling more. I am too. It’s very tough. No shame in how you feel. Just try to get that daily walk in, stay in contact with people by phone and zoom etc and do what you can to get through it. Personally I am focusing on the vaccine news (3.5m is a great start) and I think by April, the weather will be getting better, it will be getting lighter and probably all over 60’s at least will have been vaccinated and news flow will be much better. Hopefully City will also be top of the league with 8/9 games to play! Hang in there!
