That's really good news. Likewise the summary follow up tweet!

The one conclusion from that is the worse you had it the first time the less likely you are to get it again as the more likely you were to have created memory B cells.
Good for me as Kaz I guess.

England hospital data for last 24 hours:

Patients up 984 today to 34, 336. Biggest rise in a while. Ventilators up 37 to 3570.

These are both new records for England.

I know you can Cleavers. That was my point. Apologies if it felt like I was attacking you as I can see that it might have come over in my frustration over the dta - but I wasn't. My concern is elsewhere.

You did not do anything wrong.

The data has no need to be so out of of date but constantly is. Journalists are not asking why or even noticing I suspect and they ought to be as that is what they get paid to do.

That data is out there - why I was able to post it in here 24 and 48 hours ago and have an extra day ready to post now.

I do not see why Gov UK are so lax about key information.

There are 1411 more in England hospitals alone than that data. And Scotland is up by 99 as we have known since 12.15 this afternoon. As for the ventilalators these are up by 219 in those days in England alone.

I know these are only numbers and nothing was wrong at all in the gist of that post you made Cleavers.

But as you can see with my concerns earlier over the misleading way missing the positivity and test data leads trhe media in one direction not the other we should be expecting our public data base to at least be up to date to yesterday not 3 days ago if the media are going to use it to build stories as they do.

I will stop obsessing over it, I have got a bit carried away today I confess. Apologies. Just one of those bugbears, No reason I should make yor suffer over it. My bad.
I'm not sure I agree with you here, you go to the dashboard and download the data, it's got the data announced today in it. I've just done it.

Edit; I'm talking about cases deaths and totals admitted to hospital. Perhaps not current people actually in hospital.

Edit; nope, I found it, it's all there

Regional hospital data:

East

Patients up 67 to 4244. Ventilatirs down 14 to 357. THis region is starting to turn the data around. Butdeaths are still high because of weeks of these high numbers. Will come down if this keeps up though.

London

Patients up 210 to 7917. Ventilators up 17 to 1220. Both new records. Though cases in London are now dropping fast and this will translate into hospital numbers in a week or two this is the legacy of the past few weeks.

Midlands

Patients up 201 to 6278. Ventilators up 3 to 598. Midlands is more than double where it was a few weeks before Christmas and cases here not dropping like in the south. Not far off having the highest death rate either as the south falls.

NE & Yorkshire

Patients up 192 to 3796. Ventilators up 16 to 298. These numbers are double what they were pre Christmas too and records. Though cases are not as high as NW in the north the hospital situation is starting to tick up.

North West

Patients up 91 to 4242. Ventilators up 1 to 384. Both are record highs and double pre Christmas but the rise has stalled in recent days and might be the first good signs here,

South East

Patients up 106 to 5493. Ventilators up 8 to 514. New record. Its too early to call as this was falling but in recent days started ticking up again.

South West

Patients up 117 to 2366. Ventilators up 6 to 199. Both are twice the levels it ever had in the first wave lat Spring and for a small rural region with limited hospital capacity may be the biggest concern in England.

It has updated England this evening but it was only up to the 14th all weekend with full data like that above for the past few days that were accessible as I did so daily and put them in this thread but they never did.

Perhaps they do not think it important enough a pandemic to update more than a 5 day week. Yet they do with cases and deaths etc at weekend. So why not the hospital data given right now the NHS thinks that is pretty important.

I am probably just being pedantic but the media do not stop at weekends and I just feel on key information gov uk should spare a few minutes to do this.

Its probably just me being overly obsessed. I do think I likely am. So no offence taken from anyone agreeing.

Yes it's all there, including changes to hospital numbers (under the lesser used download data tab), and I can see the update was half 4 yes. I can see why this should be kept up to date at the weekend but I can also see folks may want a weekend. It is important data though

Not bothered at all.

What are the new admission rates over the last couple of dates, as they were the number I was posting about, "patients up" obviously isn't the same thing as plenty could also be released.

But to me,trying to see it in as simplistic way as possible.I ask HOW are people contracting it.

Take this situation with your best mate,(and God hope he makes a full and speedy recovery),I wonder if he knows how he could have caught it.

They interview all these in hospital, who all repeat the same line day in day out,be careful, you don't want to get this, look at me,stay safe, you don't want to get it.

I get that and understand why it is said, but why are they not asked well Sir / Madam where do you think you might have caught this disease, have you worn a mask ?,have you been to XYZ,just where did you think you caught it.

To me the answers to these questions will make those who have not caught it to potenially change their ways, surely
Very few people are going to say ‘I caught it at a party’ or ‘ i played football with a load of mates’. Everyone I know who has caught it claims it was from work, which it may well have been. I’ve even heard “I’ve no idea. I’ve never left the house’
