Don’t know but my dad got a text at 3 today asking could he get to the Irish Centre in Cheetham Hill for 3:30 to have his first jab, fortunately he’s near enough to have got there in time. Mum waiting for hers now.

Postcode lottery, it really shouldn't be.My sons friend who is in his early 40’s got a letter inviting him to be vaccinated, he thought it was a mistake so got in touch with the clinic in Hale Barns. They said they had done everybody on their books from the older age groups so he is booked in to have his jab today. Meanwhile I am down in Timperley and am 75 next birthday, not heard anything yet. If I hear nothing this week my MP Graham Brady is getting an email from me asking what the hell is going on.

Most would, unfortunately I can think of a few who'd be reluctant to "allow" you to be unwell in the first place.Pretty sure my employer would tell me to f**k off, if they knew I'd had it, and was still coughing thankfully.

Bit on the news about the care home where the non vaccinated resident very ill, the vaccinated ones either not got it or not ill. Sounds promising.
My covid clinic appt didn’t happen as the computer systems went down (?) apparently.
Fortunately my GP who arranged it stopped by my flat after he’d finished at the surgery. I’ve been seen by him a number of times over the years abs always liked him.
No pneumonia but chest ‘rattling with crap from covid’ nothing to be concerned about and using the oximeter gave a reading of 95, which I’m presuming is ok (anything under 92 a concern).
Also said if I were to walk down the stairs of the flats it would probably kill me which was spot on given I’d tried to yesterday....and it did nearly kill me.
Advised to get some fresh air on the hour (I hadn’t as I’ve been so cold). Should hopefully see some much better recovery by the weekend & hopefully full return to work Monday.
Perhaps psychological but I do feel a bit perkier this evening (I took a shower which helped).
Feet are still throbbing (no red blotches) & I have this phantom ‘hot oil in oven’ smell haunting me.

Great to hear you're feeling a bit perkier. But please, I can't be the only one reading this and thinking that line about "hopefully return to full work on Monday" needs to be put on the back burner for now. Take it day by day and don't rush yourself or set targets. Good news from the doc nonetheless, hopefully all upwards from here!
