Coronavirus (2021) thread

It’s on North West Tonight now. A Youth Worker from Moss Side is saying he’s had a lot of youth and young adult black people coming to him with conspiracy theories about Covid.

In a recent survey:
72% of black people say they won’t have the vaccine.
Compared to 42% of Asian and 15% of white people.

The youth worker said there needs to be some black doctors and role models coming forward to promote the vaccine to black people.

It’s alarming though! Where are these 72% 42% and 15% spending their time? Where are they getting their information? What are they reading? Who’s influencing them?

I came across an article on this a few days ago. One of the suggestions was a lack of trust in research due to perceived (or actual?) under representation of BAME individuals in the research sample.

I would think there also concerns about contents of the vaccine. Some think it contains traces of pork, and I think I heard, some think it contains traces of egg.

How old is he tiny good luck in his recovery
Thank you. He’s 45 but has a lot of heart issues in his family, he’s been tested to the hilt and seemingly doesn’t suffer.

He had blood taken abs xrays, xrays were clear abs blood tests show a bacterial infection. Suggestion is that because his body is fighting Covid and Bacterial he’s really suffered.

Docs weren’t too concerned with his heart rate and were happy with his lungs following the initial paramedic view. He’s been prescribed some antibiotics and he’s home now thankfully. Super scary and my sister is now a nervous wreck so will no doubt not sleep for checking on him.
