IF companies had staff working from home no problem in March and April there is no reason they shouldn’t be working from home now. If these companies played their part businesses that can’t work from home would have more chance of staying open

Some people seem to think those that don't come in are somehow 'shirking' work.

I make sure to thank those that are working from home as for some people it's tough and most importantly their decision to stay away from others helps everyone out.

Yep deep distrust from the boss at our gaff. I had to do it for two weeks quarantine and found myself more productive due to not chatting shite to my manager all day.
Also most people at ours hated it and were begging to come back which is weird as most my mates WFH and enjoy it

There's plenty that can be locked down still.

- Schools
- None essential manufacturing
- None essential warehousing
- The majority of the delivery network. Royal Mail, DHL, UPS etc if the above two are closed
- Construction
- Cafes providing takeaways. I saw a queue of about 20 people huddled together in a queue outside today in a small town.
- Golf courses
- Places of worship
- Motorsport facilities. I'm sure Red Bull, Mercedes etc and others are currently working flat out for the next season. Then you have the many other types of Motorsport companies that I'm sure will still be open.
- Car show rooms (Are they still open?)

That's the ones that have come to mind. Some more important than others. I'm sure there's more.
How on earth would the nhs , schools be funded , it’s ok for these people say work at home , what if you can’t and your household can’t afford 20% cut

companies still have to pay your national insurance, holidays and pension while not making profit

Well that's why these places are still open I guess. The pandemic has always been a balance of lives and money.

Some of those on the list could definitely be shut if they really wanted to get the numbers down though.
