Good that cases are down, but still way to high after 3 weeks of lock down.

It is, but we know it's a softer 'tough' lockdown than the first one time, and we know we were starting from a very, very high spread point. Sadly that means so many probably picked it up from asymtopmatics returnign to work etc. Probably the best we can expect as a result, unless the government changes anything further, but they won't.

Either way, it's vastly down on last week so its good news. A 22% drop. Nice to see the deaths down a tad week on week too.

So you literally have nothing then.
A huge claim and not a shred of evidence or source material to back it up with other than ''I followed it''.

Awesome stuff.
Awesome as a frequent traveller that you want it to be untrue , i know who the irresponsible one is here, google it if you want evidence

I think there's good evidence that variants from Spain became prevalent here after the summer.

Original research here.

Thanks

Very early on in the pandemic I remember reading a paper that said it seems that a particular blood group is more immune than others, that blood group being O.
Yes, I read that too...hence my curiosity in this whole area.
I know I'm Negative, think it's O but might be A. I had to have the usual injection to counter this when I gave birth to my son.
Need to ask my GP at some point.

Not sure if you mean cases or deaths, but as far as cases go, this is as good as anyone thought it could possibly be with the new variant.

The deaths have done what should have been expected, no-one thought they would peak before now.

Vaccination can get ahead of this as long as we don't relax too soon.

There is light at the end of the tunnel IMO, we just need to make sure we keep at it.

This could be why Spain lost it's travel corridor almost as soon as it was granted one, assuming the article is somewhat accurate (no reason to believe it's not)

I wonder how many Spanish citizens travelled to the UK when the rules were temporarily relaxed between the 2 nations? I would imagine a significantly lower number than the reverse scenario of UK to Spain.

I don't really know what the inbound tourism numbers were over last summer for people visiting us, if anyone has any idea or links it would be an interesting thing to read up on.

Don't know my blood group although the missus gets 2 colds a year I haven't had one in a decade
Wife and I are both retired, we spent most of my life working in a Petri dish of bacteria and viruses and we’ve had one flu between us, me, and had no more than 10 days off between us in 80 years of working combined.
Our three children are similar and never had a day off during secondary school.
Is it luck, good genes, blood group, God, City.....who knows?
