For those clamoring for the early lifting of restrictions and lockdown, it’s prudent to see what is happening in Israel in terms of the increased hospitalization of younger people. Israel fears the British variant is now dominant and it is both indiscriminate and lethal.

Much of the hesitancy derives from the long mistrust of British institutions, mixed in with toxic social media and racism in the NHS.

Is it just certain rogue factions of the NHS that dress in KKK robes, possibly whilst administering vaccines?

I'm sure you don't mean it that way, but that comes across like you're arguing that BAME people are less likely to be vaccinated due to their stupidity. Which I'd disagree with, obviously, and I've no doubt you would too.

Missing the point. A long mistrust, suggests it's largely historical to me. It says racism in the NHS not the NHS is racist.
Put it this way are City fans racist or are there some racists amongst city fans. Do SOME ethnic minorities have a fear of going to football because of historical racism, probably.
Some of the mistrust is unfounded,most of the racism encountered unintetional. None of that means it isn't part of the reasons behind the reluctance, and something we need to look at and try to reassure those that have that reluctance and put right.

I think I’ve been very clear that anyone, I don’t care what colour or background they are, who is refusing the vaccine because of a conspiracy, is stupid.

Black or other minorities aren’t any more stupid than white people, generally speaking.

I seem to be on your side a bit today mate, but it didn't come across the way that was suggested at all.

I think a certain someone needs to leave any prejudicial viewpoints that may be clouding his interpretation of things at the door.

Sir Simon Stevens said they they were going to double the rate of vaccinations soon. Whilst they said that there will be "bumps in the supply chain", I didn't hear anything about expected supply issues in the next few weeks.

I think they are deliberately setting themselves a soft target saying end of April for over 50s - I've also said before that I think they are probably privately hoping to get all over 50s done before last week of March because of the ramp up in 2nd doses then.

I'm 53 this year so I'll let you know if I'm done before 24th March.
