Apologies - forgot the poster’s mane but wondering how those who had covid complications way after having it (long covid?) then felt better after the vaccine are feeling now? Was it a permanent pick up?

I’ve actually had a couple of missed calls from mobiles over the last day or two (and one from the dermatologist dept which I called back).
Wondering if they may have been for the vaccine (I get offered the flu vaccine due to asthma)...but via mobile?

Posted in here a couple of days ago about reports that doctors were getting many calls that Long Covid symptoms were disappearing after the vaccine. You are not alone it seems.

Yeah mate it was me, defo felt improvement within 8 hours, massive improvement which initially was shocking at first, gradually the initial improvement became normality and now feel as I would pre covid. The only way I can describe it was like having a headache which goes after pills.

This is the problem i have with this Vaccine.

I am not anti-vaccination, in fact i am all for them if they are safe.

I am not convinced they are safe though.

It is alright saying ,don't blow it out of proportion. That highly likely you will be okay.

What if i am an unlucky fucker and i am not ?

I suffer from all sorts of allergies, I already have a compromised immune system from having Glandular Fever, as well as a couple of patches of Psoriasis.

I have legitimate concerns the vaccination might kill me.

This is why i am waiting out for a while yet.

Not because i am being a selfish fucker .I am waiting it out to see how people with my sort of conditions do over the next few months.

Seems like common sense to me.

point 1.
Talk to your GP and they will be able to give you some information based on your situation so you can make an informed decision. and if they feel you are at risk of an allergic reaction they will send you to the hospital for the shot ( they did for my Mum who had a bad reaction to the flu jab years ago ) where they monitor you for 15/20 mins after administering as thats the window of time that the anaphylactic shock would take to kick in. the 15 min monitoring happens at all vaccination centres but sending to the hospital is an extra layer of protection as your in the best place to have that sort of reaction.

Point 2.
Lets play the odds game

Covid = 1 in 100 chance of killing you, this will go on for the rest of your life with the odds increasing every day as Covid isn't going away. this is probably higher for you being immune compromised.

Covid vaccine = currently 1 death* attributed to it in 334 million shots administered. Once vaccinated your safe from Covid ( baring any mutations etc etc )

* 1 known death has occurred due to a Covid vaccines which looks like its down to a manufacturing flaw and the batch has been recalled, people will say this is proof that vaccines are unsafe but it could be applied to everything in life as manufacturing issues occure all the time. 30 people a year in the US die from food poisoning from eggs for example. but people dont say eggs kill you.

Even if you go by the Meme's on facebook which take deaths after the vaccines has been administered. your looking at about 0.03%. and when you take into consideration that the vast majority of the early shots were administered to the elderly and sick 0.03% is about the figure you would expect to have died in the same time period. even if you take 0.03% at face value its 1 in 3000.

4 months in, 330+ million shots administered. the vast majority of people who have had it have been old and infirm. your not going to get a bigger test pool than that to prove that health issues wont be a factor.

Great news mate and I bet it comes as a relief.
I'm hoping for the same results (not guaranteed of course) when I get mine.
It's an odd feeling from someone who runs every other day (pre Covid), often a 15k each week, to struggling walking up a couple of flights of stairs.
