Big Pharma doesn't want cheap vaccines around.

1. AZ is big pharma.

2. The concern seems to have come from the data monitoring committee, which is appointed by AZ

Even if you're right, it doesn't make any sense whatever as a driver of this latest confusion.

BBC just showed on news a half empty German vaccination centre with only 2000 jabs booked not the 10,000 they should be doing and how 10 people who should have had the jab there this morning have not turned up as AZ still seems to not be wanted there by some people due to the publicity.

The poor staff were doing all they could to say how good it was but you can only throw mud so often without people choosing to believe it must be dodgy.

How do they know what vaccine they are having?
I dint find out till after my jab when the lady gave me a card.

I never asked either. But we have had people in this very thread reporting the lengths they went to here in the UK so they only accepted a Pfizer appointment. No idea if they succeeded but they were certain Pfizer was much better. Based on these sort of media stories that mislead opinion so easily.

Hardly a surprise if it is even worse in Germany given what has been said there.

A rather disappointing England hospital fall this week.

98 deaths with 19 from the NW.

Though that is the first sub 100 on Tuesday in ages.

Only down 3 from 101 and 26 last week.

Tuesday is always a big catch up day as we know but this is a pretty small weekly fall.

That said 16 are more than 4 weeks old.

11 University College London the only double figures

Bolton and Pennine Acute at 3 each are the most in the NW.

98 England hospital deaths:

26 NE & Yorkshire, 24 Midlands, 19 North West, 16 London, 5 South East, 4 East, 4 South West

Age split

20 - 39 (1), 40 - 59 (13) , 60 - 79 (40) , 80 PLUS (44)

It makes no sense whatsoever for AZ to lie or make a vaccine that is knowingly flawed , they have everything to lose by doing that . The other companies have everything to gain by sniping , coercing the political narrative and at no point will they suffer any damage to reputations. I’d imagine they cannot understand why a company is doing it on a non profit basis , plus the ancillary costs with the AZ vaccine are considerably lower in terms of transportation and storage . I might be completely wrong but the whole scenario raises suspicion.

Maybe it's different over in Germany and they get told beforehand which one they've been allocated?
We got told when I went last week. The guy at door stated quite clearly which one it was and checked we were ok with it being the AZ, that of course was the day when all the shit was going on. Didn’t see a single person backtrack.

Agree

Somewhat, but right now they have advance contracts to sell everything they can make.

The suspicion is understandable, which is why I've being trying to explain that for this current issue those suspicions make no sense, given the concerns come from the datamonitoring board, which is appointed by AstraZeneca.

Unless your family spend all year locked in a cellar I really don’t think they’d appreciate Barrow.

Id honestly prefer to spend a week holidaying in Rochdale.
I travelled the country till the last Lockdown and I love Barrow area. Mind, I've spent many nights in Rochdale and Oldham and enjoy them too.

North West London is the only part of the UK I find really grim and even then you've got good South Asian food.
