Didn’t you have it last year and you’ve had the vaccine?

no although I thought I may have got it at Wembley (clearly not) and was before tests and yes I have had first jab. Does not seem to be helping me at all today.

I remember you feeling poorly and coughing after sitting with Typhoid Karen and that you were going to get a test. Mightily bad luck to get it after having had a jab.

Positive news is Covid ran through the retirement home my Aunt owns 9 days after their first jab and none of them were even hospitalised back in February even though a dozen or so tested positive so it shouldn’t be too bad.

At what point do you feel comfortable going into a bar and not socially distancing?
For me, I know it could well be open to us on June 17th, however I think in reality, all adults will be offered a jab by end of July. It takes a few weeks for that jab to be effective against serious illness and second jab (12 weeks later) is needed to be "Fully" vaccinated. So worst case scenario, I have the jab 31st July, I won't potentially get second jab till end of October. I think my mindset is stay safe to not get infected and hope I can get away for a holiday during August with the family, and November, December - start to finally enjoy life again :)
immediately, now. But i appreciate not all feel that way and i appreciate there's still some work to be done.

15 hours after getting positive test, I am lay in bed and literally can’t move I am aching so much. Strange this!!!
Best wishes
One of my friends had his 2nd jab 2 weeks ago and has been poorly and had
to go into Tameside for 2 nights.I'v had both of mine and been ok.

Speedy recovery fella.

I found paracetamol helped me a lot when i had it. Don't think i was quite as bad as you though. But who knows i just may be tougher :) Anyway good luck on a quick recovery.

Just look at the different language / approach of the EMA when providing an initial review of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
EU regulator finds potential link between J&J jab and rare blood clots. Safe and similar to the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Astonishing.
Pretty clear now that it is a very rare alergic response to the Adenovirus.

Quick data from when I was AWOL:

England hospital deaths 34 with 2 from NW. Last week was 33 and 8 NW.

Big data from Yorkshire - 12 of the 34.

Scotland 178 cases and 2 deaths v 221 cases and 3 last week

Wales 53 cases and 2 deaths v 69 cases and 2 last week

N Ireland 124 cases and 1 death v 112 cases and 0 deaths last week

Quite a few of the England cases discounted as being older.

THIS IS A TABLE OF THE TOTAL HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS WITH COVID IN ENGLAND SINCE THE PEAK OF HOSPITal ADMISSIONS AND NUMBERS STARTED FALLING

THE COLUMNS DOWN ARE BY AGE:- 0 - 5 / 6 - 17 / 18 - 54 / 55 - 64 / 65 - 74 / 75 - 84 AND 85 +

FROM THE NHS DATA

YOU CAN SEE HOW FAR DAILY ADMISSIONS HAVE FALLEN AND ALSO THE CHANGE IN AGES OF ADMISSION.

43 out of 3565 (1.2%) on 19 Jan under 18 and 7 out of 172 (4.1%) on latest data 11 April

1523 out of 3565 (42.7%) on 19 Jan over 75 and 54 out of 172 (31.3%) on latest data

Have fun looking at the patterns. But as you see the younger age has risen (more than tripled) and the older age fallen (by a quarter) over those weeks.
