In the BBC article there's no mention of when they travelled to India, just whether they've been in India within 14 days of their scheduled arrival in Oz.

From Monday, anyone who has been in India within 14 days of their intended arrival date in Australia will be banned from entering the country.

This is why some of the Aussies players playing in the Indian Premier League Cricket tournament made their excuses and headed home last week then.

So did the IPL players know of the new policy before the other Aussie citizens in India, is that what you're implying? That makes it even worse.

They have got the release stages bang on by the look of it. Seemed pretty harsh at the time but very accurate when linked to vaccine roll out success.

Just a reminder being a Bank Holiday there will be limited data this weekend.

Wales are publishing nothing today and nothing on Monday

Others will be basic data only as and when.

No hospital data until possibly Tuesday. Aside from deaths from England and Scotland.

At half time just to update Zoe App data.

Predicted UK cases is a new all time low of 829 - down 27 on the day.

Symptomatic cases 15, 943 - down 580 - also a new all time low.

Zoe now reflecting Trafford as the problem area in Greater Manchester. Doubled in last couple of days. Stockport down a little.

No Wales data today at all.

So Scotland update:

1 death - was 4 last week

175 cases- was 177 last week

1.1% positivity - was 1.3% last week

No hospital data until Tuesday.

Northern Ireland update:

No hospital data until Tuesday.

0 deaths - was 1 last week

90 cases - was 80 last week

No other data as routine will be released every weekend from now on here and until Tuesday this week being a Bank Holiday - other than possible basic data like this tomorrow and Monday.

England hospital deaths:

16 with 4 from North West

Bear in mind this is not weekend data - that comes Sunday & Monday. Though this week likely Sunday, Monday and Tuesday being Bank Holiday.

Regions: - East 1, London 1, Midlands 3, NE & Yorkshire 2, North West 4, South East 3, South West 2

The NW 4 were 2 from Tameside, 1 from Stockport and 1 from St Helens.

Wk to Wk:-

41 with 2 NW

34 with 8 NW

28 with 5 NW

20 with 2 NW

And 16 with 4 NW TODAY

So we only have two nations on cases (none for Wales):

The total for Scotland and Northern Ireland with England to come is:- 265.

Wk to wk (just for these 2 nations):-

481 v 427 v 309 v 257 v 265 TODAY

And the total deaths for the three nations (excluding Wales) with out of hospital England to add is:- 17

Wk to wk (with Wales again excluded) :-

41 v 41 v 32 v 25 v 17 TODAY

All settings deaths just out from Gov UK officially is just 7

Cases officially 1907

Both exclude Wales - though neither would have been significant given past week data here. And almost certainly not taken cases over 2000 or deaths into double figures.
