The vac minister saying the worry is 30-40 year olds filling up nhs by going in for 2-3 days needing oxygen

Just smiling as the national news just annouced what I posted on here days ago and was accused of having something against Stockport for saying. I said it was in trouble because it was rising much bigger than others and expectations and those 5 day old figures have just worked thriugh and been presented nationally.

Happily it has not got any worse since then. It has flattened much like Bolton did.

That is next weeks news.

Pity these numbers are no use for the lottery.

It was me that said it and my point was you have said that many times that Stockport was in trouble, at some point your were going to get it right.

I should respect anyone who doesn't get the jab if they have a complete fear of needles but I'm finding it difficult, don't expect any compassion or access to the things in life the rest of us want. Overcome the fear, don't be a shithouse and protect yourself and others, it's only a little prick but you'll be used to that.

Currently watching the Atlanta Hawks vs Philidelphia 76ers in the NBA play-offs. Indoor arena and it's packed, are things getting back to normal in the US?

I go to Llandudno for our holiday a week on Saturday. My partner has had his 2nd jab, i'm 8 weeks in from my first, and our 4 year old had to cope with his holiday to llandudno last June being cancelled as the Welsh didn't want the English in.... I just know that once i've packed everything and got all sorted they will ban the English and we can't go. It's our last big holiday to the place we love the most before our son starts school and we're then trapped with school holidays.... we all love it there, the sea, the mountains, we are the most covid safe family there is, i still haven't been in a shop in a year, and we never go anywhere indoors etc, we do the great outdoors, and we are booked in a self catering cottage. And i swear, if i have to cancel, if i have to not go or possibly even worse get sent home after a couple of days, i will just breakdown... In fact i think i'll send my 4 year old to the Welsh leader so he can explain why yet again despite us following the rules he's not allowed to go on his holiday, in THE UK. i've had enough. Been trying to stay positive, trying to hope for a "normal", but i just feel that welsh leader is going to ban the english, again.
quotes from him in the media today make me think it's coming... but i have to still organise, that's a mums job - to pack...

And am i right in saying the Oxford vaccine works best leaving the full 11 to 12 week gap? And sooner wasn't meant to give as longer lasting protection yes?

My sister has been pressured on the phone by the NHS line to have her 2nd on 9 weeks (in a few days time). Yet my partner who is the ancient 51 years old had to wait the full 12 weeks (despite the media saying the over 50s were getting the 2nd dose early) and he only got his last week on exactly 12 weeks.

got my 2nd OAZ jab bang on 3 months on the 1st of this month - wife got her's today slightly but only slightly less than 12 weeks - I think she said it was just short of 11 weeks - it does seem its better to give it as long as you can

What’s the evidence for changing the schedule?
There isn’t much for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, as trials did not compare different dose spacing or compare one with two doses. The trials of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine did include different spacing between doses, finding that a longer gap (two to three months) led to a greater immune response.

My wife and I have lived like hermits for 15 months and I have had enough of it. Both of us have had the two OAZ vaccinations and I am just going to go back to near normal, though I will still wear my mask in shops and large crowds. Stuff foreign holidays too much faffing about but am actively looking at holidays in the UK and will renew my season ticket.

meanwhile in India where bodies were stacked up outside hospitals and floating down the river just a few weeks ago, eases lockdown restrictions

all bonkers .won’t find it on the news .
They had somthing like 60% antibodies to start with from the first time round. It has ripped through the rest like a knife through butter. They have had many more cases and deaths than officially reported.
Declining in the cities now but still going strong in the countryside.

Evidence? Double vaccination still works against the virus. Single vaccination is not as strong as against previous strains.
We'll all be given a new top that beats new current strains starting in mid September. Probably a different vaccine to jabs 1 and 2 as German research seems to indicate that you get 4 times the antibodies mixing OAZ and Pfizer
