People just won't adhere to any rules they try to enforce. It will just move people from restaurants to kitchens and that's it.its going to kick right off

North West cases top 2000 at 2112 - double last week. Which puts Bolton's numbers in good light.
Hope you're better soon.Had the Moderna vaccine this morning. Sent me proper wonky but easing off now.
Amazing how fast this is growing despite vaccination levels and restrictions still in place.
Its mutated to somethimg more efficient. And its that process which is where the problem lies. This will burn out but its a race to get new vaccines before we get more escape mutations.Amazing how fast this is growing despite vaccination levels and restrictions still in place.

Not if it reflects the Scottish figures @ayrshire_blue posted for Scotland with the vast majority being under 40 which aren’t fully vaccinated yet.Amazing how fast this is growing despite vaccination levels and restrictions still in place.

Not really is it. Unvaccinated kids going to school being tested twice a week, it's bound to jump up. I've said it before and I'll say it again looking at cases is pointless, look at the hospitalisations and deaths instead. Cases can go up to 1,000,000 a day and still won't matter as the hositalisation will still be very lowAmazing how fast this is growing despite vaccination levels and restrictions still in place.
This week's in comparison to last (Scotland)
119 admissions in total (+40!!)
85+: 10 (+5 on last week)
75-84: 7 (-2 on last week)
65-74: 8 (+2 on last week)
45-64: 26 (+4)
25-44: 48 (+18!!)
Under 25s: 20 (+15!!!)
Also worthy of note that 9 of those under the age of 20 who were admitted to Scottish hospitals with Covid during the last week are aged just 0-4.
Similar rises - not quite exponential growth? This week's hospital admissions (Scotland) compared to last.
Total number of admissions:
143 (+24 on last week, +64 on two weeks ago)
Ages of admissions
85+: 5 (-5)
75-84: 6 (-1)
65-74: 9 (+1)
45-64: 37 (+11)
25-44: 66 (+18)
Under 25's: 20 (no change)
7 of those admitted to hospital with a positive Covid test during the last week were aged 0-4.
Hes a variant pervert ;)Bloody hell Marvin - you are some boy - every time i log on this thread for what feels about 12 months you say the same thing. You have a mutation / variant fetish.
I could understand if they want to delay huge venues being open at full capacity right away, though.I think being realistic most restrictions are out of the window. If anyone walks around Manchester city centre and honestly believes people are paying any attention to the restrictions then they are naïve. I don’t mean this flippantly but it is just being realistic.
Personally, although I could live with a delay of Jun 21st, I don’t think it will make any difference at all as observance of the rules has mostly finished and so any big explosion of cases post-release is happening now. Which is why I think a delay of Jun 21st will just be political window dressing rather than make any dent in spread of cases as it’s pretty much a free for all already. I appreciate that those that live outside of the city centre may be surrounded by different demographics and so may view things differently.
I suppose it depends how much difference things like nightclubs, indoor gigs, big weddings etc make. Much as people arent taking much notice of other restrictions, there are still things its impossible to do.I think being realistic most restrictions are out of the window.
