I don’t think it particularly mattered, Len. It was getting in anyway, as is being proved everywhere else.

I'm.... not entirely convinced that isn't in no small part due to us spreading it amongst ourselves then going on holiday to these places.

Well that's not the whole story, Sure it would come in eventually, the point is it arrived here much sooner because the UK government didn't put India on the Red list when it should have. The point being cases might not be as high as some people might not have gotten as ill and ended up dying as we would have had the chance of getting more people vaccinated.

So it disagree I think it does matter especially to those that have caught this variant before vaccination and have become seriously ill or died the past few weeks.

Instead we had government ministers lying about infection rates and trying to justify their inaction rather than just putting their hands up and saying we cocked up again. But that's politicians for you .

Yep, not denying there were fuck ups along the way, would have only been a slight delay in it getting here.

No but we have probably the biggest Indian Community in Europe, so should have followed the science and numbers and acted sooner.
