We really have to upgrade our immunity. We need to vaccinate > 12year olds. Organise the 3rd jabs, and in parallel develop a new vaccine. What we are doing is not enough. And yet time is ticking buy. Here we are with September ahead of us and we are staring into an uncertain future.

Just getting ready now for Arsenal but I do wonder how long before football is closed down. I am not joking. Hospital admissions are rising and this is the end of Summer with an Autumn school term approaching.

Get your act together.

I don’t wish for anyone to suffer or die but I’m also for personal responsibility.

I quickly run out of sympathy for people who have refused the vaccine and then got ill.

Autumn and winter with delta could be a bloody nightmare

Sadly too many of those between the ages of 16 and 35 don't want a vaccine.
The only realistic alternative is to let the virus rip in these age groups now before late autumn brings a serious multiplier to cases, hospitalisations and deaths as per other bronchial illnesses.

BURY DOWN to 4962 FROM 13, 696 - as neighbour Bury goes crazily the other way. Do not trust ZOE here.

MANCHESTER UP to 9045 FROM 8854 - Manchester still doing fine & pretty flat

OLDHAM DOWN to 6974 FROM 9563 - lowest here in the week

ROCHDALE UP to 11, 234 FROM 10, 364 - Going up as neighbour OL goes down

SALFORD DOWN TO 7775 FROM 9429 - fairly stable & heading the right way

STOCKPORT DOWN a little to 10, 937 FROM 11, 314 - but still in the 10 K watch zone

TAMESIDE DOWN a little too to 6349 FROM 6573 - small increase & best in GM right now

TRAFFORD another fall DOWN to 7812 FROM 8569 - seems it will carry on eating into Stockport's lea for overall Pop Score as second best in GM now.

WIGAN DOWN to 16, 463 FROM 18, 605 - levelled off but at one of the highest in GM with just Bolton and Bury ahead

Got a text from my gp surgery yesterday saying unless it's absolutely necessary don't come in for blood tests as they are short of test kits. I have been feeling shit for about 10 days, sweaty achy and tired same as my mate across the road. Have taken covid home tests every 2 days all negative. I've spoken to quite a few people who feel the same and presume a lot are going to their doctor with these symptoms and having blood tests hence the shortage. I feel OK for a few days then it hits me again. Double jabbed several months ago too

14.2% positivity - was 10.9% last week

494 patients - up 15 on yesterday - was 320 last week

49 ventilated icu - up 2 on yesterday - was 32 last week


NO WAY TO PRETEND THESE NUMBERS ARE GOOD AS HOSPITAL DATA IS NOW STARTING TO INCREASE

No Wales data on Saturday as always - so:-

The two nation deaths with England to be added later are 14

Last week they were 7

The all settings later were 104 when England added 97
