Won't be far off 30 million boosters by end of December!

We're hitting an administrative bottle neck now. the 6 month rule will be the limiting factor. I'm 45 and got my vaccine the second it was offered. I wont be eligible for booster till 6th Jan. 46-49 was only a few weeks before me so wont be valid yet either.

Brilliant. Let them get infected first, spread that into older ages, then vaccinate them post-hoc.

Fucking genius.

(Another of son's footie team positive today...)
Mistake after mistake after mistake by those in charge.

Hindsight is 20/20, but there are many examples where the correct choice was obvious from the beginning.

As far as I am aware, whilst they may have been expedited far quicker than normal, and even run in parallel in some cases (which is understandable give the alternative of locking down for 10-15 years...), none of those steps have been skipped.

Got my booster jab booked for early Dec - no qualms whatsoever.

It's very bold. I'm not sure how effective it will be - how on Earth will they police it?
Could be easier than you imagine - assuming all non-essential outlets will be asking for proof of vaccination as a condition of entry that is. They might not be able to keep on top of every non-vaccinated person who ventures out but they can stop the non-vaccinated from getting into the non-essential places.

2 of the 5 blokes I went Wembley with Friday have tested positive- both lost taste and smell and feel crap.
I hope you don't get it. I had it recently. 5 out of 7 people in two households got it including 4 adults who were all double vaxed. I got it bad but only briefly.

I am due my booster in a fortnight. I don't think I need it but I will take every vaccination going.

Pleased to see the boosters being extended. I hope they make it available to all adults over time because I want to see the maximum possible immunity in the population. I haven't understood why we're using a vaccine that wanes over time but presumably they haven't been able to develop anything better.

My vaccine pass expired on my phone and there was no way to renew. No one knew what to do. I ignored it because no one asks for it but I noticed recently that it has been activated again because I reported a positive PCR test. But it's not valid for very long. I am hoping it will get updated for a lengthy period when I get my booster.

Every time you go into NHS app you can update your vaccine pass, piece of piss.

Depends what systems they have in place. Where I am, you have to scan into each shop/restaurant etc and show your vaccine certificate.

If they have that in place, it would be very very easy to police.
Think its just being policed by spot checks.

Just log in and get a new one

How long will the cranks call it an experimental jab when there are over 7 billion doses been given world wide and probably a few months off being in existence for 2 years? How much real world data do they need?
This new pair of bollocks I’ve grown under my chin since having the vaccine can easily be hidden if I grow a beard. Just need the knob on my forehead sorting out now!

One side effect I’ve now realised that I get from the jabs is insomnia. I’d forgotten about it from my first 2 jabs, until the last few nights, but although I get some sleep it’s just very light and constantly waking up and dropping back off. I’d put it down to the sore arms but obviously not.

Cant say I’m that arsed, I can live with it, but wondered has anyone else found this to be an issue?

Schools are back and it's showing in the cases.

Boris won't rule out further restrictions being imposed.

What makes this even more frustrating is that you know the gov will allow children to have their second vaccination in a few weeks/months when it's too late.

Perhaps it is just anxiety over the jab and its possible effects. Have to say that in the two AZ and one Pfizer jab I have had twice I slept better than in weeks on the night right after it. Though I put that down to me going out on a journey to get them often for the first time in weeks each time. But I have seen others say they slept a lot after the jab too.

Obviously they are going to impact people in different ways so you might just be unlucky. But it is inevitable you will have some subconscious part of your mind looking for some symptoms if you have that concern up front. And at night right afterwards when your conscious mind is less active ypur subconscious might be more engaged in that and come to the fore if you have been worried about the possibilities up front.
