Me too. It's caught up with all of the remaining Covid dodgers in our family, recently, with little affect.
Hopefully it'll pass by in the same way for yourself.

Make that another one, finally tested positive this morning, which was no surprise as both my wife and daughter have had it over the past two weeks. At the moment it feels a bit like hay fever, which I am prone to at this time of year.

Those reports above are no surprise. Zoe app cases are rising faster than they ever have in the recent two or three months of the Omicron outbreak just as the government has decided to pull the plug on their funding for them - which the people running the app have called a really bad mistake.

I guess the weekly ONS reports on prevalance will be a guide but these are over a week behind real time due to how they work. Zoe is much more instant. And a week matters if cases are escalating to prepare hospitals for the rising patient numbers that will follow in a few days - and are doing so.

Last Sunday Zoe showed 156, 723 predicted daily cases - today it is on 221,162 and the daily rise has increased every day. That is a 45% or so rise in a week. Zoe has never been much higher than now across the pandemic.

It is going up quite a bit almost everywhere in the UK at the same time too. Which is not how recent waves have been. They were more regionally based which then spread elsewhere.

Only North East England is keeping reasonably in checkand the best of the 12 UK regions but is still going up daily now.

Happily cases so far are translating into small rises in hospital in patients but as yet nothing very worrying in intensive care or death. But these would lag this sudden jump up by a week or so.

Yes my friend has recently been contacted and told to expect a call for a fourth jab in the next few weeks.

She is on the vulnerable list. But I believe all over 75s are also to be offered one during April and May based on what they told her.

Looks like some of China is going into a lockdown state again. Omicron seems to be hitting hard there. Before feb the highest daily deaths in HK were 5 a day throughout the pandemic. since Feb 15th they have risen to over 250 a day.

Shenzhen, city of 17m has locked down. Hong Kong seems to be getting hit hard too, discussions of directing flights away from Shanghai.

but how trustworthy the data is who knows. How many of the deaths in Hong Kong at not related but positive test etc.

Obviously covid ended, in the news media, but try telling that to South Korea and Vietnam who kept case numbers well below ours (nearly zero) for 2 years.

Now they have case numbers that dwarf the highest we have ever had, in relation to population, even Germany have higher numbers than we have had, though I'm not totally confident that ours wont go as high again either.

There seems to be loads getting it at the moment. I tested positive on January 23rd on my return from holiday. I felt ok, I've had worse colds to be honest.

The suppresors are now suffering. Tried to be clever and it didn't work out.
