Coronavirus (2022) thread

me and the wife just had it after avoiding for 2 years.felt like shit for 3 days feel ok now
I am on day 6, still positive this morning but the line is a lot less clear than it was on day 1, so maybe negative tomorrow. Today is the first day when I have started to feel better, symptoms haven't been that bad compared to the reports from other on here. Would describe it as a bad cold with sinus issues and feeling tired all the time.

good to hear your feeling better

Anyway, thankfully all this is all but over now isnt it. For the vast majority
Have you seen the current stats in South Korea? And then look at their all time stats?

diddly squat (relatively) cases since it began, now at 400k cases per day, deaths also spiking.

it’s not over. It probably will never be over, the only thing that changes, is just how we react to the numbers.

Yeah it wont ever be over, youre right. But its time to live with it.
do you think korea are having spikes now because they didnt cop for it in the first place ? They are just having their spike at a different time to everyone else?

it is over in so much we have to move on. For MANY reasons. Financial, mental etc

Today's Zoe numbers not visibly slowing down and still rising more steeply than ever before.

Predicted cases today top 300K for the first time in Zoe's history. On 305,134 up from 294,404 yesterday and 221,162 last Sunday.

There are slight hints of the rise starting to tail off. Fingers crossed there will be meaningful drops next week. We must be getting fairly close to a peak.

Ongoing symptomatic cases are on 3,190,474 - up 126,904 in 24 hours. And up 766K in just a week - by some distance the biggest ever weekly rise in ongoing cases across the pandemic.

North West is unfortunately starting to rise quite a bit and up in 6th place - highest in some time and highest of the northern and midlands regions. Up 172 today and has been rising similar numbers for a few days now unfortunately.

Greater Manchester is still rising daily also.
