Coronavirus (2022) thread

I’m wandering around my room with an intravenous antibiotic drip hanging from my arm and I feel like a pincushion with all the injections and blood taking. They’re selling it I’m sure!! :-)

As for @Sir peace frog seeing the bruise I don’t think even your nerves would stand it!! *rofl*

Mu only problems are that I may have to watch the match day thread for the game plus I haven’t got my kit or my trusty scarf! Although the jumper I came in in is Blue. Will that work? :-( :-)
You take care x

UK deaths today up from 114 last week to 126 this week. England 87 to 95.

As I said rising but not dramatically as yet.

Cases 90,349 - up in the week from 72,898 last Friday. The rise then was from 44.740 the previous Friday so this is a decrease in the weekly rise.

England only on 68,492 - which is actually down from 75,681 yesterday.

Last Friday England was on 55,883 - which was up from 52,722 the day before.

So these are suggestive of slowing of the rate of increase.

They are not testing related. Friday to Friday today is actually up from 661K last week to 753K.

Todays cases also include a significant hold over of about 4000 cases from yesterday as Scotland had data issues then. So this number today for here is for more than one day skewing the comparison a bit.

You will be able to watch the game if you are still in hospital. The overhead TVs are free these days and it’s on BBC1 on Sunday afternoon.

I watched the Swindon game in a similar fashion!

Hopefully you’ll be on the mend by then.

Well I followed the lockdown rules for 2 years and guess where I am today?
In Hope Hospital, Salford Royal to some, with Corona and slight complications. C’est La vie!

The staff here cannot be faulted, they are looking after me so well. Being me! I can’t do things by half,I’ve got a bruise from under my left boob, right across under the right and half way round my back! :-) everyone keeps popping in, ‘is it ok if I have a look’ One doctor said I should charge them a fiver a viewing. *rofl*

It’s the pain that’s annoying me though, but I guess like football no pain without gain!
Keep smiling, keep cheering, keep the faith. :-)

Hope you have a swift recovery. Take Care

Admissions (Wednesday - admissions are always 48 hours behind the rest of the hospital numbers below). Were in England 1823 - they have risen every day this past week but that is up just 23 on the day and from 1521 the previous week and 1184 the week before that.

North West is rising more than it was - had 275 admissions v 214 the week before & 164 the week before that.

Patients in England today are up 249 to 11,595. That is up 2226 in the week from 9369 last Friday. When it rose by 158.

Every region is up by modest numbers - South East up the most by 77 to 1869 (V 1345 last Friday - steepest week to week rise and highest case numbers over past few days here too) .

North West is up 46 to 1625 (V 1371 last Friday) All the other regions are up a few hundred over the week much as these two.

Ventilator numbers are down 9 today to 240 V 221 last Friday. Every region is under 100. London highest on 97. North West did though have the biggrst rise today up 3 to 29 V 22 last Friday.

Well we're all thinking of you.
The match day thread doesn't bare thinking about given what you're going through.
Was in Salford Royal for a large part of 2020 and the staff were brilliant. The food was f#cking awful though - lost 2 St.
