Coronavirus (2022) thread

4 in the office I work in since Monday, luckily I've not been near either, all WFH, but they are (well maybe "were" now - as there are new discussions ongoing) trying to get us back in more.
I've been in more in last 2 months (about 10 days) than previous 2 years but wanting us all back in more now. Between working at other site, WFH and annual leave I missed being at that site when they all caught it

Loads of people I know (including me) have had congestion and a cough for about 3 weeks. Keep testing negative for covid but wondering if this is an undetectable variant on the rapid tests? The cough is really persistent. Feel fine apart from that. Felt like a cold but the cough just wont go away
I've heard of plenty of people over the past few months who have had symptoms but keep testing negative - sometimes for days on end on LFTs - only to eventually test positive or not test positive at all. This seems to be largely at odds with past variants where a positive test would often show even before symptoms developed. It happened to me back in early August. I was feeling rough in work one morning so did a LFT and it was negative despite having symptoms. Felt gradually worse as the day wore on so did another test before leaving work and it was positive. I don't know for sure where I caught it but I'd been at the Community Shield 3 days earlier and stuck on a coach load of fans for hours on end so that'll probably be favourite.

Seems every 3 months there is a wave of increased cases a load of people get it recover then it all dies down again! We will just have to except this and leave it to people to choose to get a booster every 6 months or yearly like the flu vaccination..

Based on learnings about how antibodies wane after about 3 months. after we built a massive wall of resistance with Vaccines etc loads of people wane at the same time and the next wave forms.
Id like to think this will eventually fade to background noise but doesn't seem to be showing signs of it.

First time I've had it. I tested positive 12 days ago after having a headache and a few chills but was nothing really and back on my feet a few days later - Is it normal to still test positive 12 days after your first positive test?

When I caught it in March didn't test negative till day 10, felt about 90% right after about five days.
