Coronavirus (2022) thread

Something may trigger the need for adults to be in charge again. Hopefully soon.
Secret knowledge incoming;

We are the adults. They respond to us. Don't blame them. Well, do. But only if we accept it's ultimately about all of us.

Wait for other adults to learn their lessons. And learn yours. Mine are, I would love a quieter society. I would love top down approaches to many things. This is not acceptable to most. I occupy a centrist position but just as many have shifted in their own way when the chance appeared, I too would shift in my own idealist direction.

That patience and responsibility for self and providing an example (in particular) to young adults, remaining approachable and reasonable, is an lifelong thing. We will never have the ideal society we want because there is no possible agreement on what that would be, because inside, we all want far more than we normally let on, and it only increases, the more it shifts towards your thing. We will ALL fall foul of it. All become another fine Brit's enemy. It's learning to deal with that and learning to avoid you becoming other people's trigger unnecessarily.

I'd be suprised if most people with covid (heavy cold) are even bothering to take a test nowadays

Too true. I've got Covid right now.
Thought i just had a runny nose and a few aches and shakes Monday.
Didn't even occur to me it might be Covid. It was only when the sister in law phoned Tuesday to say she had it that i thought to do a test. (been at the same family visit Sunday etc)
That test was negative.
Did another test Wednesday morning, still negative. So was sure it was nothing.
However, Wednesday evening i realised it wasn't shifting/getting better, so decided to do one last test.
Positive!
Felt better this morning. Not 100% but i'm sure will be over by tomorrow.

Easily bought. I still do them if I have any cold symptoms before I visit my grandma.
I did a test today as I'm visiting my aging parents, I did a test because I've had some symptoms all week, but these symptoms are the same as any cold anyway, negative.

I looked up "local" PCR tests, good luck finding one if you need one.

There is only so much we can do. I recognise that LFTs aren’t 100% accurate, but it’s the least I can do to take one before visiting.
