Youre talking playing on into October at least i think. Players planning to leave will leave - can't stop them if contracts are run out , so its going to be messy. No option will please everyone, people suggesting trying to finish the season are just guessing at stuff and avoiding potential legal challenges from teams disadvantaged , The simplest and fairest is to go with Brady , and who wouldn't want to get behind Karen?

is this the Premier League or the Livarpool league? All of these suggestions of playing two more matches so Liverpool can mathematically win the title? What???
How ridiculous does that sound?

how about we play X number of games so City can mathematically secure a CL spot?

Or how about we play X number of games so West ham are mathematically safe from relegation??

the notion is RIDICULOUS. You either play all the games and finish the league or you Void the season.

The league isn’t only about who finishes 1st. It’s also about who’s relegated, who’s promoted, who plays CL/EL... one shouldn’t be prioritized over another.

You can’t say Liverpool winning the league is more important than say Villa staying up, can you? Relegation for Villa would mean a lot of lost income and probably the need to sell one or more of their best players for less than usual, etc etc.
 
How mad is this situation? Im so glad we arent in liverpool's position, id be well pissed off, but at the end of the day football doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things
 
If they gave it to Liverpool would there not be a legal challenge from the bookies who are going to be hit hard with no professional sport happening for the foreseeable future? Why should they pay out to punters on an opinion and not the fact that to win the premier league you must be top of the league on points or goal difference after 38 games. Liverpool could lose the next 2 games and then it’s game on and with the coronavirus must teams wont be able to get their strongest teams on the pitch meaning a lot of crazy results could happen.

There are bigger things at stake at moment than Liverpool feeling aggrieved the season could be voided, if it was us I wouldn’t want a trophy awarded like that.

Funny when anyone says it no one questions them to say it’s fucking trivial compared to what is happening and what’s going to happen! Some say let’s finish it even if it’s in 4 months time so they want to throw next season under the bus?

Except in Dipperland where it does mean more.

Not winning it in front of the Kop would offend the memory of Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish, the 96, not the 39, the magical nights under the lights, the Irish bloke who was battered with a Roman belt buckle, not the Bulgarian waiter battered with a paving stone, half of Scandinavia, Stanley, candle makers of the world.
If they can't have their flag waving, red smoking, poetry reading, never walking alone ceremony on the sacred ground, it just won't be fair.
