Perhaps the best solution is to extend this season which is 80% complete and shorten the next one.

I think most people are underestimating how long it will take for things to get back to 'normal'. I wouldn't be surprised if there is no football for 9-12 months. This would be perfect timing to just finish this season a year from now and get back to the usual schedule.

Obviously this is all guesswork.

Fucking hell mate just one weekend with no City, neither of my kids teams playing, not even fantasy football, and I was going crazy!
