Well what a few days it's been. The world has gone fucking mad
If City were in LiVARpools position and vice versa, the season would have be called off already and the resumption date would be scheduled for September,as if the season hadn't started.
Drove to Cardiff on Friday for the Wales v Scotland rugby international. Listened to Talkshite all the way down. At 12.30 hrs Prem League announces suspension, Rugby expert interviewed and the Rugby was still on and the punters were merrily spunking their money and getting pissed at Cheltenham. By 2.30pm , the court of public opinion, the media etc force the hand of the WRFU and 30 Scots and and fair few Welsh are now stuck in Cardiff for a weekend without a match. Well it was the best weekend i've had for a long time with mates i'd not seen for a good number of years. We were all over 60 and carrying a fair few scars from our life so far. 30 odd pints later i'm back home but i've mixed with Scots , Italians, ( 30 walked into the pub we were in) Swedish guys. All thought the match should have been played. All i have spoken to thought the media hype was scaring people out of their wits. We all washed hands but enjoyed the weekend.
Been to Aldi today for some normal shopping and was in the shop when the toilet rolls and kitchen rolls were rolled onto the shop floor. What a fucking ruck. I stood and watched as people tried to by pass the 1 packet rule. It was busier than Christmas.
I've got friends that have had operations cancelled, holidays cancelled, stranded abroad bla bla bla . The world has stopped and my pension pot is disappearing fast.
Personally i think the government are following the best advice they can get. Dickheads are a plenty on the TV,twitter, FB . With no vaccine the only way we will get through this is by isloating in a control manner, having a majority of people catch the virus and survive and thereby starving the virus of new targets. Isolating when advised or when symptoms present themselves, washing hands and restricting movements if possible is the only thing we can do. I've got several of my family - 90 year olds, A son with asthma and a young grandson, a daughter that is a clinical scientist in Exeter Hospital and a her partner in Cardiff laboratories, and my missus is 4 years clear from cancer, so i've got a lot to worry about . The vast majority of us will survive this, many more than if it had been your average flu winter, currently 40,000 at least have had it and survived, others will have had it, survived and not even realised. When its over, what sort of world will we have left and what will we have become.
