Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

Do these idiots never learn ?
They seem to be working on the theory that players won't get it or be in isolation because someone else has, some teams won't be able to field a team,i don't know why they are not spending their time working out the legal/money side of things instead, football cannot be played, the rise in the virus has taken our health advisors by surprise and it is only going to get worse, scap this season ffs

Sports events in mid summer , gigs, festivals etc all being cancelled, yet English football thinks it's going to start the 4th April ffs.

I doubt that anyone in English football believes that football will start on 4th April. They’re just saying that to get some breathing space to decide what to do next, and to discuss the television contracts behind the scenes before they actually break them.

Its a reasonable position to take.

Rick Parry has just came out and said the football league will be played out. Not surprised considering his ties to Liverpool. Unless the we all go into lockdown, we won’t be seeing football until next year imo.
All his behind-the-scenes efforts to destroy City will come to nothing if the league is not completed. My heart bleeds for him.

Football doesn't matter at the moment.
I love cricket too but I can see the whole season being abandoned this season.
