Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

I think the league will be completed behind closed doors - Champions league and FA cup no chance.

just don't see how? they'll be no sport whilst social distancing is in place, then there is the issue of emergency service support, which won't happen and when it does we'll all be able to go back anyway

No one will be safe from this pandemic, Mansour’s assets are lot more diversified then just relying on the price of oil. He made some serious money propping up Barclays in the last crash.

On weathering this storm I would rather be in City’s shoes rather than United with a huge debt to pay off with no income happening from playing football at the moment. Then there is Spurs who will have not have factored in their stadium not being in use for the foreseeable future until this is gone.
funny you should mention spurs and Levy
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was paid a £3million bonus for delivering the club’s new stadium on time
The hefty gift, which was additional to his £4million salary, was deferred from 2018, after Spurs moved into their 62,000-seater stadium
Levy was paid the bonus almost a year ago in 2019 and on Monday announced 550 staff will have to take a 20 per cent pay cut along with all other non-playing staff as the club look to combat the coronavirus crisis.
A bonus for finishing the stadium on time ? It gets better hes now asking Jose and the players to do the same

What we talking here?
30 ish players.......4 to 6 officials.....2 managers.....2 assistant managers.....physio's ?......doctors......ambulance team?.....medical staff?.....trainers.....coach drivers?......security?.......fuck knows who else?
Your talking over 100 easy for a game behind closed doors.......it only takes 1 to be infected.
NO CHANCE THIS HAPPENS.

According to the paedophile protectors (allegedly), Wimbledon is looking likely to be cancelled this year. Presumably, the various titles available will be gifted to whichever players hold the most influence via advertising revenue and global appeal?

Won't they just give it to Liverpool?

We could cash in here with clubs struggling for money, They might be prepared to let their star players go to get some money in
Yes, but unfortunately it could work the other way round if Sane leaves. I can't see parasites like Bayern not taking advantage.
