Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

PL, EFL, PFA and LMA hold “constructive” talks. But “no decisions” taken. Deferral/cutting of player wages remains huge issue. Not a good look for football. Joint statement ... https://t.co/TE5nUaVsed

I have an idea, call the season over and concentrate on sorting out the legal stuff and put everyones health first

So if the league isn't finished teams stand to lose a lot of money right?

So who isn't paying them? The TV companies? Why aren't more questions being asked of them?

Hope everyone out there is safe and healthy. Crazy times. I’m in VA in the US and we’re on a stay at home order until at least June 10. Really looking forward to seeing City next year! City were going to win the CL this year. Oh well.

I think that's what we're being told by a PL/Media/club who want it to finish.

undoubtedly they will lose money, but some of the suggestions I have heard for finishing this season are even more expensive. The PL and their media wont tell us that! It's disgusting if they're trying to force this.

If they're not careful we'll be watching a closed door competition going on at a time when smaller clubs are going bust, people are dieing, health care equipment is scare, resources are scarce and they're playing a fkin footy tournament to save money!

That is the shit our PL and their media would have us doing, and tell us we all want it!
