Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

If it’s safe for the players then it should be safe for the fans. Football behind closed doors is pointless, it was seen as a punishment up until 6 weeks ago now it’s a positive
Exactly. It's either safe or it isn't. Footballers have families grandparents etc, also football is about entertaining, without fans it's pointless add that to the reality of 1000s of deaths and it becomes grotesque to even think about it playing a game in such circumstances

Premier League matches could return solely as a 'TV event' in June or July, with multiple games a day potentially played at Wembley Stadium. [

Some of these idiot hacks must just think this shit up and then put it to print, how anyone in their right mind can even think this would be under consideration should be sanctioned...

Would have zero interest if this season restarted and all games were played behind closed doors. I really wish they'd stop fucking around and just scrap this season, and hope for an August start for next season.

Not that bothered, it would be like the contactual obligation album nobody likes. Then we get on with the next season. At least finishing the season means the records stay and Aguero keeps his goals and records.

Our league season was pretty much fizzling out even before all this. Can you imagine we play Everton for example at Wembley behind closed doors. No one will give an absolute fuck. It’s pointless.
