If there were a dose of bubonic plague, swarms of tse-tse flies overing over every fuckin' ground in the country, half the PL pros were down with beri-beri plastered on top of a Covid-19 pandemic the canutes in charge of English football would still be determined to get the season up and running as soon as there was a red sky at night!

Over 20000 deaths now and yet on every news bulletin they are talking about restarting football , disgusting by the football authorities and the media for not challenging them on it, but I think we all know why , greed !

20,000 people (could be double that) have died in the last month. Yet the all I hear is the premier league and sky going on that the season should start soon.

Where have you seen they are restarting last I heard it was the end of August at earliest.
It was the DFL yesterday regarding the earliest possible start date of 8th May, or after, if politicians allow. It was a framework agreement with broadcasters covering up until 30th June.

It is strange that I have to queue for over half an hour to get into Asdas and go round their one way system but in a couple of weeks over 90 teams of 16 players will be tangling at corners. Either it is truly a pandemic in which case call it off or I have been stuck indoors for a month for no good reason?

There is no way the Government will allow football behind closed doors.
Here is why.
So they let 50 players and staff travel to a ground to play a game where social distancing is impossible.
Then I decide if that is OK then why can't I drive 50 miles alone in my car to go and do a night session of Sea Fishing on a secluded beach where there is not a living soul within ten miles of me?
The lock down only works because the vast majority of the population are at present willing to abide by the rules.
If the greed of the Professional game is allowed to win the Government risk loosing the compliance of the population.
If 10000 people decided tomorrow to protest, in any City in the Country, that they had had enough of this lock down there is nothing the police or Authorities could do.
Whilst I am not advocating doing any of this I am sure lots of people would loose faith in what the Government are trying to do.
