What I can’t believe is that some people are falling for it. There is 0% chance of football finishing this season. The only chance there is is scraping next season and re starting in March next season. That makes ‘some’ sense at first. But when you look into it deeper there’s Bob hope ( players contracts, different squads leading to suing by relegated clubs, sponsors/sky/bt agreeing to another disrupted or cancelled season etc, etc) my journo mate told me in early March that footy would be nul and void but the prem league would be voting to see if they ‘award’ Liverpool the title. He wouldn’t say why at the time but looks like he was spot on.You really could not make up some of this crap. Watching the daily updates it's clear that Professors Witty & Van Tam are both completely against a relaxation of the lockdown anywhere remotely near the level which would permit a restart of this season. At the end of the day, the Government won't go against the recommendations of SAGE and I reckon their advice will be to forget sport for the next few months at least. Some of these journalists need to get real.
