Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

Everton putting additional pressure on the authorities to postpone the games. I'd be amaized if any games were played after the weekend for the next few months.

WATFORD PLAYER SHOWING SYMPTOMS

Watford boss Nigel Pearson said he cancelled training yesterday after several members of his squad reported feeling unwell this week.

The Head Coach said the preparations for the Premier League game against Leicester have been disrupted because of the health of some of his players, one of whom is awaiting results of a test following symptoms associated with coronavirus.

We’ve already got a good idea where we will be at the end of April. Still 4-8 weeks from the peak

Yep you are probably right. So by that time it will be abundantly clear to everyone how serious the situation is and football will be the last thing on everyone's mind. If they announce today its cancelled then there is going to be protests from so many clubs and fans. Kick the can down the road for a few months and let the collapse of civilisation make the decision!

This wont be better in a months time. There will be millions in the uk infected by then.
I can't see how they can play the games at all whether that be in 1 month. 2 month. 3 month. This virus will spread through most of the uk population.

The only option is to void.
I even doubt next season will actually start in August.

Its wake up time for the authorities. This shit has just got real. 1 in 50 people will die. Let that sink in. That's 1.3 million people in the uk.
And all the premier league are arsed about is whether liverpool get the league.

I won't be going to any games this year or at least until the virus has died out.
I value my elderly family members far more than i do football.
