Corruption in English football?

Those that say it isn't, to the thread please.
Calling all the It's not corrupt posters.....

What's your take on Peps comments last night ? He clearly seems to say we get no help but other teams do. .......

Over to you.

Corrupt would infer there is a large organised process that includes money changing hands.
Bias might be a historical institutional preference that leads to decisions that are scewed.
If there is corruption the corrupt are spunking a fortune as it doesn't seem to be working on a micro or macro level.
As an example
Ferguson tried to influence referees to be bias, but did he offer refs a cash incentive to add 6/7 mins on if they were behind.
If United are corrupting the Premier league and not merely trying to influence it, they are as good at it as they are of trophy winning.

Corruption doesn't necessarily mean money changes hands. It's an abuse of power for personal gain which can mean anything from brown envelopes to job promotion or to simply keeping your job.

I am sorry but you totally misunderstand what corruption means. It does not have to be about money. If I am the head of procurement at a large company and get you a contract because you are my mate, that is corruption. All referees want to do the cup final and they Deffo all want the rags v dippers, for some reason the latter is considered a highlight of the season. You only need to be told once that if you give a penalty against the rags your season is Burnley v Aston Villa.
Which ref was it that sent a rag off and didn't do another game at the swamp for 2 years ?

Of course it’s about money!

The premier league have stated on record, “that a rag or dipper win would be good for the premier league financially”.

Who were involved with the recruiting of Masters, “CEO Premier League” a clue, they don’t play in blue!

Who dishes out the contract to officiate all games of the premier league?

And which other football officiation companies were involved in the tender before the elimination process?

Oh and I notice you didn't answer the question.
What are your thoughts on Peps comments

I presume he means that the premier league, the hateful eight, the red tops, the shite referees, and especially the media all make success for City as difficult as possible.

Money changing hands ! Money being paid into Masters bank account by the Glazers. Brown envelopes being given to referees.
Not sure if you are being deliberately obtuse . The difference between corruption and bias is a long prison sentence.
