Corruption in English football?

Not exactly corruption but I know for a fact that at least 1 draw for the papa John's trophy that was drawn 'live' on talksport was emailed to the clubs 3 minutes before it was 'drawn live' on the radio.

Wonder if that happens with other cup draws too and if so, do they do re-draw if they don't like who is playing who.

The brilliant things about Pep's City, is that he makes it as difficult as possible for refs to influence games against us (until now, perhaps). By dominating possession, we don't have to tackle as much, reducing chances for decisions and cards against us. We also do our best to keep teams out of our penalty area, again reducing chances of bad decisions impacting our results. All has meant that there have been games, where even if a ref has wanted to fix a game against us, they just wouldn't be able to without doing something ridiculous.

However, now refs have stumbled upon something they can do. Stop penalising late tackles on us when we keep possession. Stop booking players for first half fouls against us.

They don't have to make shocking decisions, they just have to ref both sides similarly, but reffing in this style works against us. And nobody even notices it.

And then when really bad decisions go against us, nobody really cares anyway apart from us. Because that's how tribal football fans are.

Been thinking exactly the same, this letting fouls go, not booking players, no matter how many niggly fouls they commit, it's a perfect excuse and is working right against us.

Added with the advantage interpretation. We get an advantage when there isn’t one, like our striker being put on his arse rather than racing in the box. The opposition get the free kick every time as it’s clear they want to slow it down.
Another thing is “cramp” stoppages. The refs stop the game for them, it’s not in the rules to stop for non head injuries yet they do.

Favourable cup draws have been debated for years. There have been some VERY strange cup draws down the years. The Carabao cup draw were us, the Rag's and DIpper's all avoided each other in the quarter final draw springs to mind.

There was nothing wrong with that goal, Mings made a mistake and his team were punished.

On Saturday Attwell made a mistake and we were punished.
