New poll at the top of the thread based on a few separate but related threads that have been merged with this one to keep things tidy.
Unfortunately, due to character constraints, that is the most compete poll question possible. ;-)I think the question is missing the point. The premier league aren't the masters of this...
There's a web of corruption of many different competing interests - bookies, agents, owners execs, refs and players probably more.
There isn't one tune that everyone is dancing to
Is football corrupt might cover it betterUnfortunately, due to character constraints, that is the most compete poll question possible. ;-)
Maybe we’ll have multiple selection “Who is involved in efforts to unduly influence match and comp outcomes?” if this poll shows most agree there are efforts.
That’s a bit too broad, as I am not sure even those that believe the PL is a bastion of moral and ethical excellence would answer ‘no’ to that (there is overwhelming evidence that football writ-large is corrupt; even the formation of the Premier League itself is an example). Is football corrupt might cover it better
The more I think about this the more I desperately want a docudrama telling the story of the formation of the Premier League to be made.Really needs a big budget docudrama staring Tom Hardy, Daniel Craig, and Jason Statham to tell the story to the masses.
Got to agree in part but I bet dippers chavs and tarquin fans will be saying the same exact thing. I mean who would want to play us?I can normally crack a smile at the notion of draw balls being shoved in the microwave, and I believe in coincidence, but in three domestic cup draws we get Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal?
Nobody is trying to screw us out of the domestic cups. Look at the year we won the domestic treble - the cup draws could not have been easier.I can normally crack a smile at the notion of draw balls being shoved in the microwave, and I believe in coincidence, but in three domestic cup draws we get Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal?
