Corruption in English football?

I think you’re looking for bogeymen under every bed now mate. Three teams avoiding each other out of eight, isn’t strange. It’s more likely than not avoiding each other. Which year are you even talking about? Obviously not this season.

Was that the year when it was being drawn in somewhere like Singapore and shown on YouTube, where it was hours late and supposedly took multiple draws?

Mings didn't so much make a mistake as just try to control the ball. If youve got a player clearly offside behind you and the ref plays the advantage for the defence, then there should be an advantage. Here he got tackles because he controlled the ball - he would have had to get rid first time to avoid being tackled, which to me isn't any kind of advantage for him.

Bad refereeing, with a bad rule too.
 
Slightly different question , why would our football be the only sport that has not been corrupted , with bribes and backhanders?

Just a few that readily spring to mind, German referee imprisoned, Italian bribery, Cronje in cricket, Pakistani bowler with wides and no balls , snooker (apart from the odd 8 Chinese players currently), performance enhancing drugs in athletics and cycling. Oh almost forgot Bruce Grobelaar
