Corruption in English football?

so, what is it about English football that makes it safe from corruption?

Without proof and just pointing to the odd bad ref decision isn’t going to cut it.
Its just a echo chamber of people shouting corruption!’ Every time a decision goes against there team.

It’s always been this way and probably always will be , refs will be shit some days and cock up and fans will think the refs bent. All clubs think officials are against them during the match if there teams not winning.

Its nauseating to see grown men go mad and lose all sense of rational when a decision goes against there team.

Have you read the thread? I’m not talking about the odd offside here

most of it. Yes. I’m still to be swayed, I would love actual proof of corruption.

surely there would be hundreds involved in making sure Man U win games by now over the years - I want one of these figures to really tell everything.

Well with 2 refs on the record now that they have been influenced it’s a great start. That’s before we get to spot fixing, etc, which relies on none of the conspiracies you allude to. Football is bent. It has been proven to be globally. English football is bent. The only questions left are who is involved and why

Amen. Close the thread.

The problem with this thread, and all the similar ones that have gone before, is that everything seemingly has to be black and white - football is either corrupt, or it isn’t. The reality, as always, probably lies somewhere in between. There most likely is some corruption in the various levels of football, but that doesn’t mean the entire game is inherently corrupt.

Yeah agree. There are degrees. But that accepts that the game is bent. It is. It has always been. We could close the thread at that point tbh. But still some say no not here, etc
