Corruption in English football?

I was thinking about the league finish positioning of every league winner the following season, within the last 10 years. I think every team has capitulated.

The point is how did they turn so shit after having a great performance the season before, like all of them(chels, liv, foxes). It s really odd.

"Without being disrespectful to any club, we have a strategic plan at the Premier League and the strategic plan says putting a new name on the trophy in every six-year period. "That doesn't mean we don't want any team to win it. It just means we would rather see some sort of rotation, for all neutrals in the game (what Leicester achieved) was a big moment."

Until someone has the guts to ask what was meant by these comments and what is the strategic plan the stink of corruption will always be around the game.

I seem to recall someone did, but he laughed it off and it was brushed under the carpet.

I can only think of one, but they changed from Centurions to Fourmidables.

Does that count?

Agents and players fees - in the early days of the PL was easy money, with agents and managers pocketing vast sums of money... if you look back at a transfer that you thought was dodgy at the time, an unusual signing or strangely high fee, chances are it was a nice little money making racket.
Main one that stands out to me was the homeless Portuguese lad. "Lovely story" but the amount of crosses and 15 yard passes that flew out for a throwing across the other side of the pitch was amazing. At best was probably 2nd/3rd tier footballer at best, bless him. Fair play to him tho, literally rags to rags fairytale story.

I had a job interview years ago – the owner of the company chatted to me in his office... which was like a shrine to the Rags – I mentioned I was a blue and we ended up chatting football for ages, he wasn't a bad bloke despite being a red, but he did tell me about the Bellion transfer... there were a lot of people receiving pay-outs for that deal... at least two from the same family... Scottish guy and his son, can't remember his slurname right now! ; )
