(using £100 as return travel fair for 2 people)

Food and Alcohol (I'm not going to add this)

Perhaps a new job and moving to Manchester or London would be cheaper

OK add £350 to that figure as just treated wife to a flight down and 5 star accomodation at the Radisson Blue for QPR match and anniversary.

Flight £100 (arrive 8am) vs Megabus £21 (arrive 4pm) - what a fantastic husband I am.
