Cost of going city ££££££££

Last season:

Season ticket - 540 / 19 = 28 ticket a game

All home cup games - cl, carling cup and fa = another 150 in tickets

Aways - did Bolton, Blackburn, Liverpool, spurs, fulham, QPR, sunderland, arsenal in cup, wolves in cup, villarreal in cl and united in
CC - average ticket price prob 45 a game

Add on about 30/40 on beer each game, more for the aways sometimes and travel to aways (home travel is free for me) then I reckon I spent about 5k last season. Would have been more but ain't been to an away game since Sunderland on new years day.

All worth it to follow the blues all over on the season we became champions

Not trying to pick at some of these figures but why are bets/William Hill coupons a cost of going to the game?

If you're betting and losing all the time then join the dots and just burn the tenner in the first place. If you're betting and breaking even then it isn't a cost and if you're betting and winning then it's subsidising the day out. Sports betting is a mug's game unless you can see a book that's unbalanced by sentiment - the fools who back England, shorten the odds and as a result lengthen the odds on the opposition who you should back.

I usually just do 3 London games Arsenal away is always a cert. Then go to all away games in the league and both cups. Every home game no matter what team we're playing. Usually try to do a couple of euro trips. Not sure how much it costs but if I wasn't at football I'd only be on the piss in town anyway.

How on earth some of you guys afford to go is beyond me.im hoping to cut back next season , it's really is getting beyond a joke now.

Cancelled $ky a couple of years ago, have only been to a pub this side of the Irish sea about twice since Christmas, watch what I spend money on, no children or wife, and drive an old car that is still fuel efficient & cheap to run and only really use it for business purposes, quite a few jouneys of which I can claim back the mileage for.
All spare dosh is for watching City as often as I can afford.

Bloody ell there are some dedicated city supporters out there! Don't reckon I could afford to go if I wasn't fairly local!

-- Fri Jul 20, 2012 8:06 am --

Bloody ell there are some dedicated city supporters out there!
