Could this Season's "Failure" be Attributable to Bad Luck?

Also we should have made a better effort to strengthen the squad last summer but in reality it was weakened. Also playing that suicidal back three crap didn't help I sincerely hope that tactic has gone out the window for good. Our injuries are no worse than any other team but our squad isn't as large as United's or Chelsea's, this has to be sorted in the summer window, two like for like players for each position is the Utopia and whether we get that or not we'll have to see, we certainly have it in certain positions thats for sure. However there are certain players who we haven't got a replacement for, Yaya, Vinny, Silva, and the Mario money hasn't been invested in the team yet. I expect a big summer and next season for us to kick on, but one thing is for sure the top two next season will be us and the rags again!!

If Mourinho comes back to Chelsea he'll have big bucks to spend and that makes it a 3 way fight for the title next year.

Or if Mourinho goes to the rags it will stay a two way fight, or if he comes to us, it will still be a two way fight but only just we'll piss it. Or he goes to Chelski and baconface retires probably a two way fight between us and Chelsea. A lot of ifs there, as it stands Us and the rags are by far the best two teams in the league......but I get your point!!

I don't see it. Fergie has said he has no plans to retire any time soon. He's also said he wants to take over as tech director and I don't see Mourinho managing a team where he doesn't have total controle and isn't the biggest star of the club. His ego is way too big for that.
