Could we go back to Real for Gago? we could offer Ade is some sort of deal. He's been injured most of the season and has become a forgotten man at Real. Could be the cover we need for De Jong! Probably would cost around 8mill

Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago, seen here in August 2010 and who only returned to training last week after being sidelined through injury for more than a month, will be out of action again after suffering a knee sprain.

MADRID (AFP) - Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago, who only returned to training last week after being sidelined through injury for more than a month, will be out of action again after suffering a knee sprain.

The Argentine will be sidelined for about four weeks with a "a Grade II sprain on the ligament of his left knee" the club said in a statement Friday.

Gago injured the same knee during a friendly against Uruguayan team Penarol on August 24, and did not return to training until September 27.

And more to the point, were now in the market for the top top players from their respective clubs, will they want to bench warm or hang around just incase NDJ gets injured or suspended, do they fuck, they want to play each and every week and rightly so.
No need for a new face, we have the cover already.

I think sometimes people underestimate the versatility of this squad which mancini (and partly hughes) has put together. Almost every player has multiple positions

I don't see any reason to have an exact replica in reserve. We would benefit more from having someone extremely athletic and strong who may not be De Jong's equal at breaking up play, but could do a job if he had to deputise, and could definitely do a job playing a little further forward.

That sounds like Yaya to me

Noe if we buy say Sanchez and another attacking player (Mata/Costa/Fabregas) or whoeever else is linked to us. Buying a DM will mean be a terrible idea, considering Milner and Barry would already be hard pressed getting games, as they would be playing behind Yaya and Nigel. We really wouldn't need a cover for De Jong. We already have that in Milner and Barry.

Barry will be filtered out of the team this season as Milner is filtered in.
