he's perfect for where barry is, sitting a bit deeper. he can get forward aswell as put a shift in, think his pace and ability going forward mean that him and yaya can cover eachother in our current system as both players could play both positions. not a clue why barry getting in the side over milner, but thats another debate i guess
Simples! Barry has been in the system longer. Knows it better and makes fewer mistakes. As much as it might be the case that Milner has more upside, he needs time to get it right. Rodwell would be a perfect back-up. Watched him against United and he is calm with the ball. he is very tall and physical and thats what Mancini likes. and he is english! Shame we didin't sign him instead of Milner...but i would love him if Barry left.

I think Aruto vidal is perfect but Moussa Sissoko would be good, still quite young too. He's a box to box midfielder and could be signed for around 10 mill.

Gohkan Inler would be the perfect replacement or backup to Nigel De Jong. He's aggressive, he comes forward with the ball and distributes it very well, and he wouldn't be that costly either. Underrated player.

De Jong doesn't suffer injury. Injury suffers De Jong.

Zabba or Yaya could easily slot into that classic DM role. FFS, Yaya played regularly in that position for Barca for years. Even Gazbaz can do a shift there although I'd prefer one of my first two choices.
I think a backup for Silva is more critical along with a versatile L&R sided winger for when we want to shift the play to a more conventional 4-4-2 or 4-5-1. We've currently only got SWP and AJ, I think we could do with 1 more (definitely need 1 more if SWP is going to be leaving).
