Cover versions you think were better than the originals

I crashed my 1st car to that, thought their Tuesdays gone cover was great too
Just listened to the Tuesday's Gone cover - wow! Totally awesome. I'm not familiar with Garage Inc. at all. I - of course - have Garage Day's Revisited - an awesome album: my favorite cover from that album is of Killing Joke's, "The Wait."

Along the same lines - an ancient folk song whose original rendition is lost to time - this is my favorite cover:

Some of these lyrics reminds me very much of the Game of Thrones:

Scarborough Fair:
Tell her to find me an acre of land
(A sprinkling of leaves)
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
(Washes the grave with silvery tears)
Between the salt water and the sea strands
(And polishes a gun)
Then she'll be a true love of mine

Game of Thrones:
When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east
When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves
When my womb quickens again, and I bear a living child
Then you will return, my sun-and-stars, and not before

this is a superb cover of the simon and garfunkel track, if you listen hard you can hear paul simon saying ,," you just dont seem to comprehend" half way through.

Perhaps the greatest cover of all time (song originally titled, "In Other Words" and first recorded by Kaye Ballard):
